Barry M glitter bomb eyeshadows

Anything glittery/reflective/holographic/shimmery, you get the gist, I just can't say no too! So when I was browsing Superdrug the other day and these babies popped up, you can bet that I wasn't gonna say no!

They are the new Barry M glitter bomb cream eyeshadows, essentially heaven on a stick if you ask me. The obvious dupe for these are the Stila metals glitter and glow liquid eyeshadows, but at £23 each and these from Barry M retailing for just £4.99 each, I thought I'd give them a try instead.

There are currently five shades in the collection and as much as I wanted them all, I managed to cap my basket at just two so I could see if they were really worth it first. Then of course if they are, I'll be happy to spend all my money on them and any future shades that they hopefully release!
The two shades I picked, and these were going pretty much off the pictures on the Superdrug website as I haven't been able to find many swatch photos of these online so far (hopefully mine will help now), are Oh Snap and Peace Out. Oh Snap is a silvery, white glitter shade, and Peace Out a holographic purple to blue glitter shade that reflects both in different lights. Both have a duo chrome effect meaning they look insanely pretty!

The applicator is a doe foot style and I love the packaging of these too, very petite and compact, whilst still displaying the shade inside of the bottle and being full of lots of product. The eyeshadows themselves are both very pigmented, with AA being slightly more than BB, but I think this might be slightly to do with AA. They have the glitter in them which gives the beautiful shine, but it's nothing chunky or uncomfortable on your eyes and it's really easy to apply too.
(Peace out)
I've found the best way of wearing these is to do your normal eyeshadow as you would first, and then using the applicator, dabbing rather than smoothing, as I've found this is more affective for getting a better coverage and build up from it, apply it to the inner corner or all across the lid of your eye. They will also still blend out further with a brush if you want them too, however this is when you might start to find you loose some of the intensity.
(Oh snap)
I don't use anything other than my normal face setting spray at the end of all my makeup to keep them on as they dry just like a normal eyeshadow would, just with more glitter and shine. I'm not one to often wear a cut crease eyeshadow look, but these would look amazing on the lid of one to make it more dramatic.

Currently in the range there are three more shades, a pink, green and copper, all of which I want but particularly the bronzey copper one as it looks to be the most wearable, so I think I might be making another Superdrug purchase soon enough.

All in all I don't really have a bad word to say about the glitter bomb eyeshadows and if they're something you've been unsure on whether to buy, then I'm telling you now, do it!! They're priced so affordably and if you'd had your eyes on a more expensive version of these, then I'd definitely give them a try first and see what you think!
