Skincare on trial - OY

Since I started getting in to my makeup and skincare, about 5 years ago now, I feel like I've been on a constant quest for the perfect skincare regime.

To give you a little background info, all in all I think I've always been pretty lucky with my skin and it's never been too problematic. I do remember a time in my younger teens where I had loads of spots on my forehead but I think that was just hormone related as they soon passed. Since then it was always just a few spots here and there until around summer time last year where my skin stayed remarkably clear for quite a while, to the point where I was confident in it enough to go out without any makeup on - this was big for me!

However come October and my skin started to get a lot worse, still not horrendous and I know there are people who suffer way more than I have, but it's been pretty bad ever since. Mainly on my cheeks, it just seems that spots come and never leave, and now because of that I have little scars on my cheeks where they've been, as well as fresh spots. Oh the joys!

Because of this, I've been desperate to find something to not only get rid of these blemishes but help with the scars they've left behind. I am literally willing to try anything, but the one thing I would definitely not advise is using toothpaste, I did and it left me with some pretty nasty burns! I actually did a blog post on how I burnt my skin with toothpaste, I'm warning you now though that if you don't really like gross things, I would give it a miss as I included pictures.

Anyway, when Green People reached out to me asking if I'd like to try their new Organic Young skin care range, designed especially for teenage skin, I wasn't gonna say no! They sent over the OY clear skin foaming face wash, OY clear skin cleansing moisturiser and OY clear skin purifying serum.

Starting of with the foaming cleanser, I've actually never tried one like this and was thoroughly excited by the concept. I've been using it in the morning as the start of my skincare routine and at night after I've taken my makeup off. It leaves my skin feeling cleansed and soft and although I didn't notice it to make a particular difference to my skin itself, I've really been enjoying using it in conjunction with the other products.

After using the foaming cleanser I've then been using the serum which although says to apply to problem areas, I use all over my face! Now this product I really like! It  makes my skin feel really soft and feels like it's actually sinking in and doing something. I like how it's quite soothing on the skin and it smells really calming too.

The final product from the range I've been using is the moisturiser. Along with the serum this leaves my face feeling firm to the touch and also super smooth which I like. I do find that it leaves my face feeling quite tight if I use to much and it almost makes my eyebrows go a little bit hard as though something it in has set which is a little weird, but paired with the other products it's been working really well.

From using the range for a month now although I haven't stopped getting spots, I've noticed the amount I'm getting has reduced and the overall condition of my skin seems a lot better which I'm happy with. I think I'll definitely continue to use it and hopefully the results will keep getting better and better.

I would definitely recommend this range if you're looking for something new to try, particularly if you have teenage skin, and you can buy it here. I will keep up with it and continue to let you know if it does anymore for my skin!
