My travel bucket list

Travelling seems to be on pretty much everyone's minds these days. I mean you only have to scroll through Instagram a few pictures until you see a snap from someone's recent holiday, exploring pretty streets are swimming in clear waters. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of them all.

However I definitely want to make 2018 the year of travel for me and although I know that some of the places I want to visit this year are pretty unattainable, I thought I'd make a bucket list anyway.

First stop, the Maldives. I'm sure we've all seen the recent, rather extravagant trip there that some influencers got to go on there. And no I'm not bitter at all! But the clear waters, gorgeous beach huts and sunny environment is just calling my name. I mean I'm 99% sure I wont get there anytime soon, unless I win the lottery or someone wants to take me, but a girl can dream can't she?!

Next we're going for another big dream, and that's Thailand. Specifically Pattaya and the Phi Phi islands which look absolutely insane. I mean just think if the Instagram's you could get!! I love the look of the little boats you have to take to reach the islands and staying somewhere that's so far away from what I'm used to back home would be a great experience. https://www.destination2.co.uk/destinations/thailand/pattaya

Now something slightly closer to home, I would love to go to Venice. The city looks so pretty and cultured, there really is nowhere like it. I would love to go around all the streets by boat and take in the scenery, it truly looks like somewhere out of a book.

Budapest is another place on my list and I'm not gonna lie, the first thing that attracted me here was the Airbnb's. They have some insanely cool ones you can stay in here for super cheap and initially that's what made me want to go! But then after looking in to it some more it really looks like an amazing city and the chain bridge is a must see!

Another place on my ever growing bucket list is Ayia Napa. I need to at least go to one typically party destination, and instead of picking the obvious like Ibiza or Zante, Ayia Napa really appeals to me. Also because of its hot climate and amazing beaches!

One place that I can definitely visit this year is London. I've been quite a few times before and already done the typically tourist things, but I'd love to just spend the day there walking around and seeing the less well known beautiful parts of the city.

The final destination on my list is Croatia. I don't know why but whenever I think of Croatia I just picture clear waters and lots of flowers-and that's my kind of place. It looks so relaxing there and is definitely somewhere I need to go in the near future.

As you can see, my travel bucket list is spread pretty far and wide and if I'm honest, could go on forever as there are so many places I'd love to see in my lifetime. Although It's pretty much impossible for me to visit all these places in 2018, I'd at least like to make a start with one or two.

I'd love to know what places are on your own travel bucket list and if you've managed to tick any of them off already this year! I don't actually have any holidays planned myself yet, but I'm hoping too soon.

  2. I used to live in Cyprus and it really is a beautiful place and the people there are so nice so definitely would recommend Napa as a party destination.
