Soultree colourful kajals - 2 in 1 eyeliner and shadow

Colourful makeup isn't something I usually go for because of two reasons really, 1. I'm not very confident in going out with bright blue eyeshadow, and 2. I don't really know how to create the looks and find them quite difficult to achieve without looking messy.

The perfect bronzed glow

So this post is going up at possibly the worst time ever- straight after we've had a good four days of insanely hot weather for the UK, probably resulting in most of us getting a natural tan. I'm still going to go ahead with it anyway though because for those of you who maybe don't tan so well naturally, and even with the heatwave still resemble a certain shade of ghost, this will definitely be a help!

Crowd colour liquid lipsticks*

I've said it once and I'll say it again. I love liquid lipsticks and doesn't take a genius to work out my love for them from the amount of posts I've done reviewing and testing out new ones which I'll link here, here and here.

Today's subjects are the new liquid lipsticks by the brand Crowd Colour who very kindly sent me these over to try. I was lucky enough to get three shades all very different from each other so I got to try a good variety and I must say I was very impressed.

So firstly the packaging which gets a big thumbs up from me, is just simple and sleek, clearly displaying the colour of the lipstick and it's shade number and name which all appear to be girls names on the ones I have. The applicator is then just the typical doe-foot one which works well for applying the product easily and accurately.

The shades I got were 03 Chloe which is a dark red shade with the tiniest hint of shimmer to it, 05 Josie a very neon coral shade, and 06 Jessie which is a purpley grey shade. All three shades are matte but 03 Chloe is the only one with a small shimmer to it which I actually like and think it adds almost a second dimension to the shade. They apply very thin feeling on your lips which I personally like and dry down to fully matte in a matter of minutes. They aren't the most creamy feeling lipsticks on the lips however they do last really well even through eating and drinking so suppose that can be forgiven.
(Shades L-R 03 Chloe, 05 Josie, 06 Jessie)
The smell of the lipsticks is one thing I'm not too keen on. I couldn't even try and describe to you what the scent is but whatever it is, it's very strong and quite off putting when applying the lipsticks and that being all you can smell. Luckily though once dried down the smell goes so as long as you can hold out for a few minutes during application you'll be fine.

I tried touching up the lipstick through out the day to see how it worked putting more product on top, and surprisingly it made the lipstick look good as new again and didn't go clumpy which is perfect for if you want a lipstick to wear all day.

Another plus about these lipsticks is that Crowd Colour as a brand is actually cruelty free, so if you're looking for a cruelty free makeup bag then these would be the perfect additions. They are priced at £5.99 on the Crowd Colour website which I think is very reasonable and 100% worth it!

I will definitely now be looking in to the other makeup Crowd Colour offer and seeing if anything else catches my eye, let me know if you've tried these lipsticks before and what you thought of them!

Mua luxe velvet matte lipsticks haul and review

The other day whilst I was doing my usual nightly activity, scrolling through twitter countless times, I saw that Mua had just brought out a new lipstick range I knew straight away that it was a must buy! The range contains 12 different matte nude shades so there's one to suit every skin colour, and we all know that matte and nude are the two things I look for in a lipstick. I knew I was gonna like this range!

New makeup for the new me

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you may know that my hair recently had a little change and went from being down to about my belly button, to just below my shoulders. This needed to be done as I hadn't had it cut in over a year and half (gross I know) so it was looking pretty ratty. I also wanted to try having it shorter to see if it'd be easier to manage when I go to a festival in the summer.
