The things I want to do this year

As I'm writing this I currently have about 8 weeks of college left, and a hell of a lot of assignments that need finishing to squeeze in to that time! It's crazy how fast time has flown by since I started college in September last year and 2017 seems to be passing in the blink of an eye.

My college course finishes at the end of June which is when school will be out for the summer for me, whereas I know for a lot of schools they finish at the end of July. This gives me an extra month on top of the already quite long summer holidays and I'm determined to utilise it. I say it every year but this time I've been really determined to stick to it, 2017 is going to be my year! So far I've been pretty proud of myself for the things I've planned for myself and the things I've done to step out of my comfort zone, but I thought what better way to help me stick to the things I want to do this year than write them down. This way I'll have something to look back on and if any of you see me tweeting that I'm bored, just link me back to this post and hopefully I'll get re-inspired!
Go to a concert and festival. This is something I knew I wanted to do at the start of the year and have already managed to go to two concerts, Craig David and Ed Sheeran, both of which were incredible by the way! I've also got Boardmasters festival booked for the summer with some friends which is super exciting and will be my first ever festival!

Spend more time with my family. Now this ones pretty self explanatory I guess. I suppose I spend too much time cooped up in my room when I could be downstairs socialising with my family more...but don't tell them I said that!

Spend some time on taking better blog photos. I've always thought the photography side to my posts let them down a little bit, so I really want to work on getting better shots and making my photos interesting. I know for a fact that I wont be able to afford the DSLR camera I want this year, so I'm going to have to learn how to use my IPhone camera more effectively.

Go on holiday abroad. This another one that I've actually already got planned. I've booked to go away to Barcelona with my friend in October of this year which is ridiculously exciting and possibly the most spontaneous thing I've ever done. Can you believe that little 17 year old me is going on an abroad holiday with no parental supervision.. well neither can I!? God help me!

Meet some more bloggers. I'd like to do this both online and in real life. I went to a blogging event back in March where I met some lovely people and I'd love to go to another one and hopefully meet some more bloggers!
Step out of my comfort zone. In general I just want to do things that I wouldn't usually because most of the time I'm sure good things will come from this. I feel like this is something I've started doing already but I want to keep it up throughout the year.

Spend some time and money on my skin. I'll admit that I probably don't look after my skin the way I should and I think it's starting to show. But you only get one face so I'm going to invest some time and money on nice products and get a good routine going to look after it.

Get better at saving my money. I can start to learn to drive soon and I definitely want to be booking more holidays so I really need to master the art of saving and stop spending my money on every new makeup release. RIP my current bank balance.

Keep up with Depop. I am an avid Depop seller and always have new bits up for sale from clothes to makeup, so I really want to keep on top of that because I've always got things I could sell and it's a great way to earn a little extra holiday spending money. If you want to check out my Depop then you totally can, it's @kate_rose99, sorry for the promo I just had to!

Exercise. Need I say more?

2017 is definitely shaping up to be an amazing year and I can't wait to accomplish all the things on my list and hopefully by having this here it will serve as a constant reminder. What things do you want to do this year?

  17. It's great to have a list of things you want to achieve so you can always return back to it. I honestly the worst for actually getting things done, literally the biggest procrastinator over here!
