Spring makeup look

With spring now upon us and the ridiculously nice weather we've been having lately conforming that yes, the season is finally changing, a makeup shake up was in order and of course, who would I be if I didn't blog about it!

I've pretty much been wearing this same look everyday recently, it's quick, pretty and the lipstick colour gives it that fresh spring look! I've also been wearing a gold eye rather than pink because I'm crazy and don't live by the rules.

So to start off with I prime using my Mac prep and prime sample and then put some of Mac's strobe cream on the high points of my face. Then I go on to eyebrows where I firstly brush them through with a spoulie, then I carve them out using my Freedom brow pomade in the shade medium brown  and then I comb through them with my Maybelline brow drama dark blonde to set them in place.
Next is eyes and I prime them using my Mac paint pot in painterly and then set this with the translucent powder from my Barry M contour kit. Then I use my Makeup Revolution flawless eyeshadow palate and firstly put the bottom left hand corner shade which is a dark brown through my crease, next the 5th shade on the 3rd row which is a bright gold goes all over my lid and to finish I use the 5th shade on the top row in my inner corner to brighten it all up. To finish I use Maybelline's lash sensational mascara all over my eyelashes!

After this I go back to base where I'll apply my current foundation the Urban decay all nighter foundation in the shade 2 all over my face. Concealer goes next which I apply on my forehead, nose, any blemishes and mostly under my eyes with the L.A. girl pro conceal in the shade porcelain.

To add some shape back in to my face I firstly use the last shade in my Barry M contour kit to lightly contour my cheeks and then I go over this and on my temples and neck with the Soap and Glory solar powder bronzer to add some colour to my skin. For blush and highlight I use the Soap and Glory love at first blush and theBalm Mary Lou-manizer.
To tie it all together finally it's lipstick and setting spray. For lipstick I've been wearing the Gosh matte lipstick in the shade 019 angel which is a really pretty pink and then for my setting spray I normally use the L'oreal fixing mist but typically mine has just run out which is why it isn't in the photos, but I'm now trying out a new one from Barry M.
So this is the final look! As you can see it's just a simple gold eye with a pink lip perfect for spring!

I hope you enjoyed this post and as always, thanks for reading!
