How I do my brows

Eyebrows are one of most peoples most important features, they can completely shape your face whether you go for the slug brow, the thin brow or the one in between. Now I'll be honest here, up until a few months ago I'd never done anything to my eyebrows, not even shaped them! The only time I'd dare touch them was when I cut my monobrow with nail scissors every now and then (which is not something I recommend).

But then since joining college where I do beauty if you didn't know, and having my eyebrows plucked and waxed every five seconds, my love for them grew and now I don't know how I ever left the house without them filled in! I'll admit that my routine still isn't that complicated and in the grand scheme of eyebrows they still probably look shit compared to some peoples excellent gradient brow, but I've got my little way of dong them now and I thought I'd go through it.

So the first thing I do is just comb through my eyebrows with one of those spoulie things and get all the hairs facing the same way. Then I take my angled brush which I don't have a brand or name for as it came with my college kit and my Freedom brow pomade in medium brown and start to carve out my brows. I firstly try to outline them with this and then gradually start to do strokes within my brow to fill them in, making sure not to go too harsh at the very front.

This brow pomade is insanely easy to use, trust me, if I can use it anyone can. I've heard it's a dupe for the ABH brow pomade too so if you're thinking of trying that I'd give this one a go first as it's about £10 cheaper. Mine does start to dry up in the pot quite quickly though so I just rub my finger in it every once in a while to get the dry layer off and it's good as new.

Then to set my brows in place and give colour to any areas that I may have missed I use the Maybelline brow drama in dark blonde which is essentially a mascara for you eyebrows and comb over them. I love how this gives them a slightly hardened feel and I know my brows aren't gonna be going anywhere!

As you can tell my eyebrow routine is pretty simple but it works for me for now. I'd love to know what products you use though and if your routine is any more completed. Thanks for reading.

  10. I barely do anything to my brows other than apply a tinted gel to keep them in place. On the days where I want them a little stronger, I use the benefit brow zings which is honestly so good and makes your brows look so natural! I need to try the Freedom product

  17. I'm comfortable using a pomade just because I find it easier to get a sharper looking brow, but I don't find the colour stays as long with the one I'm currently using. I plan on trying out the Anastasia Brow Wiz, hopefully I'll find luck with that. Keeping things simple really help! Another great thing is using concealer to clean them up after you brush them out, even if you're just going for a natural look! :)
