My summer essentials

Summer is one of my favourite seasons but with it, comes some beauty essentials that I most definitely need. This is also a collab with the lovely Alice from the blog Alice J Lorna so make sure you check out her post too after you've read this.

Fake tan
Garnier summer body moisturising lotion is a gift from the gods. During the summer if I'm lucky enough to get a tan I find it dry's out my skin and I'm always looking for new moisturisers to combat that. This product not only moisturises and hydrates your skin, but also adds a slight tanned glow to your skin too. It works as a subtle tanning lotion so you won't turn out as brown as you would if you used an actual fake tan, but it will add a more bronzed glowey look which is perfect for those summer months where you've got your legs out.

Deodorant
Let's be honest, deodorant should be an essential all year round but especially in the summer months. We all know during the summer you get a bit more sweaty and nobody wants to smell bad, so I make sure I take a mini deodorant out with me just in case I feel like I want a top up. It's also so small that it fits in to any bag and is really discreet

Matte powder
Hot weather usually leads to oily looking skin and so to fix this any type of matte powder is your best friend. I like the Rimmel stay matte powder which I apply generously to my forehead and nose as these are the two places on my face that go oily the most. This is another product I like to take out with me in my bag so I've always got it in case I start to go oily again.

Blusher
I don't know why but I always feel like summer is a great time to wear blush. A light pink coloured blush is perfect to help with the glowey summer look. I love the Maxfactor crème puff blush in seductive pin especially as it's such a subtle rosy glow. I also think blush is a great alternative to brinzer if you're not too keen on having an overly bronzed face.

Lip balm
I like to try and keep my lips moisturised and so to give them a break from my usual matte lipsticks, I use the summer as an opportunity to try and wear more lipbalms and glosses. The Zoella kissy missy lip balm is my must have at the moment as it feels super moisturising and it also adds a lovely pinky colour to your lips.

I'd love to know your summer essentials and don't forget to check out Alice's post too. Thanks for reading.
