Makeup Revolution flawless palette review

Makeup Revolution is quickly becoming an extremely popular brand of makeup here amongst the blogging world and I can certainly see why. I have started to build up quite a collection of their products and so today I thought I would do a review on their flawless eyeshadow palette for you.I have also already done a review on one of the blush palettes and a bronze palette which I will link HERE, and I've also done a brand spotlight where I featured a variety of different Makeup Revolution products and I will link that HERE. Right, now I've got that bit of shameless self promo out of the way we can get on with the review.
The palette contains 32 shades ranging from shimmery to matte and light to dark and they are all extremely pigmented and easy to blend. It's an amazing palette as it contains almost all shadow colours that you could want. My favourite shadows in the palette are the bronzey gold ones and the cranberry shade that's on the bottom row.
Another plus about this product is the packaging. I think the black makes it look incredibly sleek and it rivals many higher end brands packaging. Also the giant mirror that comes with it is an added bonus and it's big enough that you could use it to do all of your makeup whilst travelling.
Overall this palette is a must have and for only £8 its a bargain. I am definitely going to have to pick up some of their other eyeshadow palettes to try. I'd love to know if you guys have tried this palette or any of Makeup Revolutions other palettes. Thanks for reading.

My autumn makeup favourites

Before I start I was want to say that yes I do know autumn started on the 23rd of September which was quite a while ago now, but i googled it and apparently autumn doesn't actually finish until December 21st which means that technically this pot is still totally relevant for about another month so I'm just going to go with it. So today I have my everyday autumnal makeup for you!
Face and eyes:
Face products are definitely my favourite to buy and experiment with because there as so many different things you can try and everything can give you  different look to the last one. Blush is definitely an autumn essential for me and my favourite one at the moment is the Sleek blusher in rose gold. This is such a great blush as its slightly deeper than all my other pink shaded blushes and it has tiny flecks of gold running through it, adding to the autumnal feel tremendously! Another thing I feel like autumn wouldn't be comeplete without is highlighter. I think highlighter is a great product all year round but especially in the autumn months because it really helps your cheeks to glow. My favourite one to use is Mary-Lou manizer by the Balm because it gives such a gorgeous champagney coloured highlight. Then finally for eyes, golden eyeshadow just completes any autumn makeup look and I find that gold tones suit my eye colour the best anyway. I would definitely recommend the Kiko baked eyeshadow in 03, it's a beautiful golden bronze colour with tiny shimmers running through it. If you ask me it's a must have for any makeup collection!
Lip colours are another thing that really make autumn the best season, it's time to whip out those berry tones and dark reds and show them off. Two of my favourite lip products to wear this time of year are my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107 (I'm sure you all know this colour!) and my Revlon colourburst lacquer balm in 120. Rimmel 107 for those of you that don't know is a matte dark red that's basically a cult favourite for anyone that's in to makeup and looks stunning on all skin tones. But if I want to wear a lip product that isn't matte so nowhere near as drying on the lips then I love the Revlon colour burst. Its a bright pink shade which I know isn't something you would always associate with autumnal lip colours but trust me, this one really works. This one feels super moisturising on the lips and I think it tastes a little bit like mint! If you didn't want this too look so bold you could also dab a tissue over your lips to make it less bright.

To finish off, what autumn look would be complete without a good olé coat of nail polish. My top ones for this time of year are the Kate Spade nails inc polish in Big apple red and the Barry M gelly nail paint in Greenberry. The nails inc polish is an amazing deep red colour which looks amazing and is really great quality. Then the Barry M one is a really nice green colour which I really cant describe so I will leave a link to it here and you can look for yourself. I know this one doesn't really scream autumn but I think it's one of those shades that looks great all year round.

I would love to hear what your favourite products for autumn are. Thanks for reading.

Life chat: Making decisions

Hey guys! So today I thought instead of writing a review or telling you about a haul I've recently purchased, I would just sit down and talk to you about something that seems to be the main focus of my life right now. Making decisions.

So as some of you may or may not know I am currently in year 11 and trying to make decisions on where I want to go in the future and what I want to do.  So far the only thing I'm certain of is that A-levels aren't going to be for me and doing a course at college or even an apprenticeship is definitely the route I need to go down. Personally I don't enjoy school, and I know everyone says that but some people excel in a school environment whilst others don't and sadly I'm part of the latter.

That's why I feel like the decision I make as to where I go after high school and what I do is an extremely important one because it needs to be somewhere that I can enjoy as much as possible. But I have no idea what I want to be in the future and so picking a course to do is proving very difficult. I have toyed with the ideas of maybe doing beauty therapy, travel and tourism or even events planning, which I know are a really mixed bunch of courses but like I said I don't have a clue what I want to be when I'm older and I'm just trying to keep my options open.

I don't really know where I'm going with this post any more to be honest but I just wanted to talk to you guys about what's going on in my life at the moment. If any of you have any advice for me or you want to tell me what you studied or are going to study in the future, I would love to hear it.

Thanks for reading my pointless ramble, until next time.

Boots beauty haul

At the start of last week I made an order on the Boots website as it was three for two on most of the makeup and who can resist that? So after getting my mum to collect my goodies for me the next day I have had to refrain from using them so I could take photos of them first, and I couldn't do that until the weekend because these days by the time I get home from school at about 4.00pm its practically dark! But now that I was finally able to take the photo's this weekend I can share with you what I bought, I can't really give you reviews on any of the products because I've only been able to use them for a few days but in the near future I will definitely be doing in depth reviews on some of these things.
The first thing that I got was this Barry M flawless primer original . This primer is £5.99 and comes in three different types, original, brightening and colour correcting. I have actually been able to use this once or twice for school and so far I loving it.
The next two things I got were the  Seventeen instant glow shimmer bricks in pink bronze and gold bronze. These were only £4.99 and amazing dupes for the Bobbi brown shimmer bricks but for only a fraction of the price. From just swatching these I can see how insanely pigmented they are and I am definitely going to be doing a review on the both of these after I've used them a bit more. From looking at them though I think gold bronze is going to be my favourite out of the two.
The last things I got were three Natural collection blushed cheeks single blushers for only £1.99 each in Peach melba, Sweet cheeks and Rosey glow. All of the shades I picked up are matte and Peach melba is a peachy toned blush as the name suggests, Sweet cheeks is a pinky coral tone and the most pigmented and Rosey glow is pink but with more brown undertones in it. I can already tell these are going to become staples in my makeup collection.

That's all for this haul, I have linked all of the products as well so you can look at them if you want too, look out for reviews on these coming soon! Thanks for reading.

The best skin care product ever!

Today I've got for you a post on my new favourite skin care product ever, it's the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +.

Many many months ago I was sent a tiny sample of this product through the post and upon using it found it kept my spots at bay and decreased the scarring they had left on my skin. However when the sample tube ran out I threw it away and forgot about it. Until a few weeks ago when I was browsing the Feel Unique website and spotted this on sale for about £10, so of course I had to buy it. I didn't have this product when I posted my skincare routine which I will link here, but if I were to do an updated one then this would definitely be in it.

I'm so glad I have now bought it again and I have a much bigger tube which will last me much longer. I get really bad spots and pimples on my forehead all the time but now before I go to bed I dab some of this over my spots, and in the morning they have dramatically reduced in size and the scarring from where other spots on my head have been is noticeably lesser. Another great thing about this cream is that unlike other products which do this sort of thing, it doesn't leave your skin dry or irritated and I think it could even be used on the most sensitive of skin. On the tube it actually says to put it all over your face morning and night but because my problem area is mainly on my forehead I just apply it there.

So if you are looking for a new skin care product to help fight your blemishes then I would definitely reccomend you give this a go and I'd love to hear what you thought about it. Thanks for reading.

A small haul

So a few weeks back I went shopping in town with my mum and picked up a few bits I thought I'd show you.
The first shop we went in to was Tiger, and boy was it difficult not to buy the whole shop. I managed to control myself and only pick up one thing which was a big geometric patterned notebook for £3 which I know will definitely come in handy!
The next place we went was Primark, because how can you go on a shopping trip and not go into Primark? The first section we went to in there was of course the home wear section where I had to stop myself from buying a really cool light up sign that said love. However if I go back and they still have it I'm not sure I'll be able to stop myself again! I did get some really cute copper candles though for £1.50 and they smell amazing. Then after browsing the clothes and shoes and not finding anything I fancied, I picked up the things I always get when I'm in Primark, cotton pads for 90p and makeup wipes for £1. These are a necessity for me and I seem to go through them ridiculously quickly! (Sorry I forgot to include the candles in this photo but you can see them in the main photo.)
The last place I bought something from was Boots where I got a Collection cream puff lip cream in Cotton candy. After seeing lots of people rave about them on their blogs I thought it was only right for me to get one for myself and see what I thought. I haven't worn it much yet since I got it but the colour of it is really pretty and I might pick up a few more of them and do a review on them at some point soon.
So the last thing I have is the Lydia cosmetics cream concealer, highlight and face contour palette. I found this palette on Amazon for £3.99 and thought it looked useful as it had so many different colours in it which could be used for loads of different things. Personally I'm not really a fan of this though as the products aren't very blendable and to use them well you need to rub your finger in the products for quite a while to make them go soft. I will leave a link to it on Amazon below though so you can check it out if you want to.
Cream face palette amazon

That's all for this post everyone, I know it was only a small haul but I thought I would share it with you anyway. I'd love to know what was your favourite thing was that I bought in the comments? Speak to you soon.

Makeup Revolution palettes

Hey again everybody! Today I'm back with yet another post about Makeup Revolution and yes I know I've already done a post on there products but I have acquired two more gorgeous palettes which I just can't not talk to you about.

So the first palette I have is the Makeup Revolution ultra blush palette in sugar and spice. This contains eight blushes in total, six of which are matte and the other two are shimmer. However one of the shimmery ones is more of an iridescent pink which is more of a highlighter shade than an actual blush. All of the shades are completely wearable and pigmented including the highlighter which is stunning. The top row has more muted shades of pink and the highlighter whilst the bottom row has the more vibrant pinks, one of which is shimmery and a peachy toned blush. On a side note, please ignore the black mark on my arm just above the swatches. I was swatching eyeshadows before hand.

(Top row in the palette)

(Bottom row in the palette)

So the second palette I got was the Makeup Revolution ultra blush palette in all about bronze. This palette also contains eight bronzey shades but all of the top row have a slight shimmer, with the one on the end having a marbled affect as well. Then on the bottom row the first three shades are completely matte but the fourth one is a shimmery slightly bronze highlight, just like in the blush palette. Just like in the first palette all these shades are pigmented and wearable, and the fact that there are some shimmery and some matte mean that some can you used all over the face just to bronze it up, and some can be used for contour.
(Top row in palette)
(Bottom row in palette)

Overall for only £6 a palette, these are most definitely a bargain that I cant recommend to you enough. If you've tried any of the other Makeup Revolution palettes I would love to hear your recommendations as I'm always on the look out for more to try. See you in my next post.

What I've been listening to in October

Well the month of October has certainly flown by! Its included multiple birthdays, the first term of school finishing, lots of school work on my part and of course, Halloween! So to get me through the endless study sessions and course work catch up lessons, I've had a playlist of my favourite songs to listen to, and I thought I'de share some of them with you today.

1. Perfect and Infinity by One Direction. I love 1D anyway and with the release of these two songs within two months of each other I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to the baes beautiful voices through my headphones, and side note has anyone else seen the music video for perfect? I love it so much and I'm trying not to fangirl right now.

2. Strings by Shawn Mendes. It was only this month that I began to listen to Shawn and I've been loving him. My favourite song of his has to be strings but to be honest I love them all.

3. Wasn't expecting that by Jamie Lawson. This is such a beautiful song and when you listen to the lyrics the story behind it is actually really powerful. Not to mention Jamie has an amazing voice.

4. The city by The 1975. So this song isn't actually a new favourite but its always on my most listened to playlists because I love it so much and if you haven't heard any of The 1975's music before I would definitely recommend you give them a listen.

5. Do it again by Pia Mia and Chris Brown. Pia Mia's music is a guilty pleasure of mine to listen to (shh don't tell anyone) and Do it again is such a catchy tune its hard not to bust out the moves when your listening to it!

6. What do you mean by Justin Bieber. Another song that it slightly pains me to admit I love because I've never really been a fan of the bieber, but I've got to hand it to him on this one because it is an awesome tune.

7. Hello by Adele. This came out right at the end of October but I've spent everyday since then listening to it. There isn't much I can say about this tune except its a cracker and Adele definitely came back into the music world with a bang!

That's all for today's post but I would love to hear what your music favourites throughout October have been. Thank you for reading.
